Allocation, coverage, richness and species maps for Suffolk

This page gives results and maps in the Atlas region of Suffolk. The table below summarises the number of 10-km squares in the region and how they have been allocated to observers in each season.

Level of allocation Number of 10-km squares
Winter season Breeding season
Less than minimum tetrad allocation*1 5 5
Minimum tetrad allocation achieved 40 40
Additional 10-kms with low-priority tetrads*2: none allocated 0 0
Additional 10-kms with low-priority tetrads: some allocated 0 0
*1 Minimum allocation means 8 or more priority tetrads, or all of them if fewer than 8 available
*2 Low-priority = tetrads whose centre is not onland

So far, Timed Tetrad Visits have been made in 605 tetrads in winter ( 579 receiving both early and late visits). Likewise in the breeding season, 515 tetrads have been surveyed of which 403 have had both early and late visits. The tables below indicate how TTV coverage is progressing towards out national aim to survey 8 tetrads in every 10-km square. Note that in regions undertaking a local atlas the aim will be to survey more than 8 tetrads, so in these counties there may still be tetrads to survey.
