Swampy, steppe, bogs, on migration mudflats & beaches
Diet:
In wintering areas, terrestrial invertebrates, probing in soft mud or pecking on surface
TitBit:
It is not known where this bird breeds; the only known nest (of four eggs) was found in 1925 near the town of Omsk (quite a bright womble!) in southwest Siberia and winter sightings are increasingly sporadic
