Reporting rates for Britain and Ireland



The graph below shows the reporting rate for Magpie by region. The reporting rate is a measure of the proportion of gardens which observed Magpie during a particular week.

Magpie: About half of us report Magpies in gardens, with peaks in winter and the nesting season. In summer, some birds forage on farmland but the reporting rate is remarkably constant as well.
